Carl received the prestigious Best International Growth award

We’re thrilled to announce that Carl Hörberg, CEO of 84codes, received the award for Best International Growth at the EY Entrepreneur of the Year gala last night.

After an extensive nomination process during the fall with six regional finals, all 24 regional winners finally met at a gala evening in Stockholm City Hall last night.

An independent jury, consisting of key figures from the Swedish business sector, selects the top entrepreneurs in Sweden. The finalists were evaluated based on the competition’s four categories. Carl Hörberg was nominated for the International Growth Award and was declared the winner.

The jury’s motivation was: “The winner of Best International Growth began his entrepreneurial journey in his early teens. By understanding customer needs and the opportunity presented by large amounts of data and cloud solutions, this entrepreneur built an international company from the start in a niche market. With a strategy of thinking globally from the outset, 98% of the company’s turnover comes from foreign customers, and the company has quadrupled its turnover in the last five years. All while creating a company with an inspiring culture where employees can work anywhere in the world that suits them best. Additionally, 40% of the employees are women – a rarity in the IT industry.

Carl Hörberg expresses his honor at receiving such a significant award: “It’s huge, and a recognition. I think it’s important to highlight that it’s possible to run profitable companies while investing in a healthy corporate culture. It’s great that this is being recognized!
